2011 marks the 6th anniversary of Strikeouts For Troops®, a national non-profit organization founded by
Barry Zito of the San Francisco Giants. The mission of Strikeouts For Troops (SFT) is to provide injured troops with important comforts of home while they are undergoing treatment at military hospitals across the country.
Additionally, SFT works to lift their spirits and morale that aids in the healing process and offer support to military families.
Since Zito's vision and the organization's inception, Strikeouts For Troops has raised funds via contributions by professional baseball players, fundraising events, fan donations and corporate partnerships.
