"I'm pleased that Fox Sports Radio
Network has joined Strikeouts For Troops
as our official sports radio network. Together
we can make a huge impact on the lives
of our wounded men and women in uniform. With
all the negative things you hear in the
news—regardless of how you feel about
the war—you have to admire the courage
and spirit of the troops, and respect the
sacrifice they are making,” said
Barry Zito.
Fox Sports Radio
VP/GM-Executive Producer, Andrew Ashwood
said, “We do not take
lightly our responsibility and privilege
to be the official sports radio network
for such a worthy grass roots cause like
Barry’s Strikeouts For Troops. This
is the perfect line extension of our 24/7
on-air commitment via American Forces
Network (AFN), to those incredible men
and women, around the world, standing tall
for America.”
The Strikeouts For Troops effort is funded by contributions
to the "Strikeouts For Troops Fund" at The Community
Foundation for the National Capital Region. For
